Snowmass has no shortage of summer programming. The more useful local insight is how the remaining season changes from week to week.
Between mid-July and early August, several evenings present genuine choices. Tuesday can mean live music at Elk Camp, line dancing in Base Village or a guest lecture at Anderson Ranch. Wednesday can be reserved for the Rodeo, a group trail outing or dinner with live music. Thursday draws much of the village toward Fanny Hill.
That breadth begins to narrow after August 4. Sunset Tuesdays conclude first. The Rodeo follows on August 19, then Two-Step Tuesday on August 25. Run-N-Rave continues through August 26, the Free Concert Series through August 27 and Monday’s open mic through August 31.
The best way to use the calendar is therefore not as a checklist. Treat it as a season in two acts: a choice-rich stretch through early August, followed by a quieter final run with one clear anchor on most weeknights.

These end dates matter. A plan that works in late July will not be available in the same form three weeks later.
Monday offers two distinct ways to return to the week.
On the Rise at The Collective brings music, poetry, storytelling and comedy to The Collective Hall at 49 Wood Road. Hosted by Romy Ancona and Sarah Sanders, the free open mic begins at 7:00 p.m. on July 20 and 27, then August 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.
The Collective’s calendar and event description publish different ending times, so confirm the schedule before leaving home. The format is otherwise straightforward: attend as part of the audience or speak with the hosts before the program if you would like to participate.
For an earlier evening, Heather’s Snowmass lists Magic Monday with Doc Eason from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the same remaining Mondays. This pairing creates an easy distinction. Heather’s suits dinner with entertainment. On the Rise suits a later, community-led program.
Heather’s location is also a current-season detail worth knowing. The restaurant is spending summer 2026 at Viewline Resort Snowmass while Stonebridge Inn is under renovation. It lists daily dinner service, happy hour from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and recurring entertainment overlooking Fanny Hill.
Monday is therefore less about a major event and more about setting the week’s pace. It offers an evening out without requiring the planning that Wednesday and Thursday often demand.
No other weeknight changes as much between July and August.
Two-Step Tuesday continues in Base Village from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with live country music and line-dance instruction. The remaining dates are July 21 and 28, followed by August 4, 11, 18 and 25. It becomes the consistent Tuesday anchor once the mountain’s limited evening program concludes.
Through August 4, Sunset Tuesdays at Elk Camp offers a second option. Complimentary Elk Camp Gondola service begins at 5:00 p.m. on July 21, July 28 and August 4. Elk Camp Restaurant is scheduled from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. with live music, food specials, takeaway choices and outdoor activities. Ticketed Lost Forest activities and Bonus Bike Night in Snowmass Bike Park continue until dusk.
That makes the remaining Sunset Tuesdays particularly valuable. After August 4, the complimentary evening gondola program is no longer part of the weekly choice.
Tuesday also carries Snowmass’s strongest arts alternative. Anderson Ranch Arts Center presents free public guest-faculty lectures at Schermer Meeting Hall, generally from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Remaining confirmed Tuesday programs include:
The July 28 program pairs sculptor and woodcarver Sachiko Akiyama with large-scale figurative artist Robert Pruitt. On August 18, illustrator and watercolor artist EB Lewis appears with furniture maker and carver Charles Thompson. Registration is appreciated, and Anderson Ranch offers both in-person and livestream attendance.
The Tuesday decision is best made by mood rather than proximity: mountain time at Elk Camp, music and movement in Base Village, or a focused hour at Anderson Ranch.
The 52nd Snowmass Rodeo season remains Wednesday’s principal anchor through August 19. Barbecue service begins at 5:00 p.m., and the rodeo starts at 7:00 p.m., rain or shine. Remaining dates are July 22 and 29 and August 5, 12 and 19.
The program includes bull riding and team roping, along with designated participation opportunities for younger attendees. Advance planning is sensible. The official rodeo site warns that its 2,000-person capacity can sell out, and advance purchase through its designated ticketing channel is the only way to guarantee admission.
Outside alcohol and pets are not permitted. Public transportation is encouraged from Brush Creek Park & Ride, the gravel lot at Black Saddle and Two Creeks. A complimentary shuttle loops between Two Creeks and the Rodeo Grounds, while parking along roadway shoulders is prohibited.
Wednesday does not need to mean the Rodeo every week. Run-N-Rave Snowmass offers a free trail run or walk followed by music and post-trail refreshments. It is generally scheduled from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on July 22 and 29 and August 5, 12, 19 and 26. The all-level format makes it a useful option when the preferred evening calls for movement rather than a seated program.
Select Wednesdays also include Chess Club at The Collective from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., with published dates including July 29 and August 5 and 19.
For dinner and live music, Heather’s lists several Wednesday performances. The published schedule includes Chris Bank and Josefina Mendez on July 22, Urbane Coyote on August 5, Chris Bank and Josefina Mendez on August 12, Hap & Caleb on August 19, and Chris Bank and Josefina Mendez again on August 26. Most sets fall between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m., though some August times vary.
The practical change arrives after August 19. Once the Rodeo season closes, August 26 becomes a notably quieter Wednesday, led by Run-N-Rave and Heather’s rather than a village-wide anchor.
Thursday has the clearest sequence of the week.
Free Community Bingo at The Collective runs from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. and includes prizes. From there, attention shifts toward the Snowmass Free Concert Series on Fanny Hill. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., music begins at 6:30 p.m. and the broader event window runs to 8:30 p.m.

Admission is free. A blanket or low chair, an evening layer and rain protection are recommended. Outside alcohol and glass are prohibited. The venue provides a staffed bar and a water-filling station, and pets are not permitted except qualifying service animals.
Dinner can remain informal. Official concert guidance points to takeout from Stew Pot, Venga Venga and Ranger Station on the Mall, as well as Limelight and Mawita in Base Village.
The dining map has also changed in 2026. The Après Deck opened slopeside by Viewline on the Snowmass Mall. Slope & Hatch took the former Mawita space in Base Village, while Montevino opened in the former Slice of Italy location. These additions give residents more ways to shape the hour before the music without turning Thursday into a formal dinner reservation.
Transportation is especially useful on Thursday, when several parts of the village are moving toward the same event.
The Snowmass Village Shuttle summer schedule operates through September 20, with daily service from 6:45 a.m. to midnight. On-demand rides are available through the Village Shuttle app in designated areas not served by fixed routes.
During Thursday concerts, shuttle service runs every five minutes between Town Park Station and Snowmass Mall from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. Several village routes also receive extended evening service.
Free parking is available at Town Park Station and Brush Creek Park & Ride, with free transit onward to the Mall and Base Village. The Base Village Parking Garage offers limited free summer parking, and the free Sky Cab Gondola connects Base Village with the Snowmass Mall. RFTA’s summer service between Aspen and Snowmass Village is also free.
For the Rodeo, follow its separate parking guidance and use the Two Creeks shuttle loop when appropriate. The concert and rodeo plans are not interchangeable.

Choose a Rodeo date before August 19 if it matters to the season. Reserve the final Thursday for Fanny Hill if the concert series is part of your summer tradition.

Snowmass summer is often described through its largest weekends. The more accurate local picture is written Monday through Thursday, then revised again as August advances. Knowing when each rhythm ends is what turns a crowded event calendar into a considered week.
